Persona 3’s Aegis from ALTER.
One of the best figure manufacturers takes on one of the most overproduced characters in the figure world and outdoes every single other one out there. What can I really say about this figure that isn’t said by just looking. The details are absolutely stunning from the gears in the figure all being meticulously well crafted to the joints having Aegis etched in them in a clear and smooth manner. Combine that with a near perfect paint job and this goes from being just another Aegis to being not only the best rendition of the character, but one of the best figures of all time. If you can find a decent deal on the figure. I would say buy it, especially if you are a Megaten fan. This is a figure that anyone would be happy to have in their collection.

Emmy posted a picture of her as Aigis recently so I decided to post some more :) This is from Anime North 2010.
She was about 6’4” in this costume, and we learned a lot of things about making robots working on this. Unfortunately, we never got to do a full shoot for it: some douchebag crashed into her and broke a lot of the armor. Hopefully we’ll get around to redoing it someday, this time with thicker, sturdier armor, proper weathering, etc.
Curiously, about a year after we did this costume, we started seeing other Aigis cosplayers using the “painted silver bodysuit” trick. We’ve seen similar happen with people doing Turner Supergirl’s cape, amongst others. We like spreading ideas! :)

It’s a good week for you if you are a Persona fan as multiple figures have gone up for order from the series. First we had the Bandai D-Arts Thanatos go up for order on sites like AmiAmi where he’s 3270 yen.
Also joining him in availability is the exclusive Bandai Figuarts Zero Yu Narukami figure. I really am confused by the decision to make this figure an exclusive because this means that to get him, you are going to have to go through a Proxy service which you can find a list of here.
I’ve ordered both for myself but I really don’t understand why you would make the main character of your game series a more limited exclusive. It’s just illogical and I’m hoping this isn’t a trend with this series of figures.
